NZ online casino licences: not issued yet
Under the Online Casino Gambling Act 2026 the Department of Internal Affairs will license up to 15 online casinos. DIA expects to issue the first licences from early 2027 and will publish a public register, so no online casino holds a New Zealand licence today. Unlicensed casinos that were serving New Zealanders before 1 May 2026 may keep operating until 1 December 2026 without New Zealand player protections.
